We fill the well with clear gravel leaving 6 inches of foundation exposed, to ensure rapid removal of standing water from within the well. As an added precaution, consider installing a clear Plexiglas’s cover over the well if you don’t plan to use the window for ventilation, or it is located under a structure, trees and shrubs.
